Ayurveda: The Knowledge of Life

Ayurveda originates from the ancient Indian holistic medical system and has been practiced for more than 8.000 years. It is considered to be one of the
oldest healing systems in the world. It was developed almost in parallel with Hippocrates’s medicine of ancient Greece but without its knowledge and
practice being lost through the centuries.

The Ayurvedic theory is based on the theorem that health is the result of the harmony that exists within the individual who is composed of 5 structural
elements: space, air, fire, earth & water. In order to be healthy, absolute harmony between our reason of existence, our thoughts, our feelings and our
physical actions, must prevail. It treats man as a whole, examining all three levels of his existence – physical, spiritual and psychological- and deals with
diseases from a holistic approach, taking into account factors such as heredity, diet, family and environments, habits etc. It helps us understand how we
can build the balance of body, mind and consciousness, according to our personal temperament, and remain healthy despite our demanding and fast
-paced modern lifestyle.

A basic healing practice of Ayurveda is the Ayurvedic Massage with which the healer, using specific moves and techniques manages to unblock the energy
within the body of the person. Most of our body pains are caused because of trapped energy in specific points, which is released through the Ayurvedic
Massage.

Ayurvedic Massage has excellent results in cases such as:

  • anxiety & stress
  • sleeping disorders
  • muscle, joint and nerve pains
  • headaches and migraines
  • digestive or stomach disorders
  • problems of the lymphatic system
It is good for the strengthening of our immune system.

Our therapy begins with the “reading” of the personality of the person under therapy, that is the energy that dominates within the body and the proportion of
the 5 structural elements. The aim of the therapy is to understand how we can build a balance between our body, mind and consciousness according to our
personal temperament.

The journey to Self-awareness begins with Ayurveda…
